American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE)
Dedicated to advancing the role of the diabetes educator and improving the quality of diabetes education and care. The site has a locator to help find a Diabetes Educator in your area.
American Diabetes Association (ADA)
The mission of the organization is to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. The site contains many helpful educational resources.
Centers for Disease Control - Diabetes Home Page (CDC)
Their purpose is to promote health and quality of life by preventing and controlling disease, injury, and disability. The site contains diabetes facts and statistics.
Children with Diabetes
An information resource and community forum for children, families and adults living with type 1 diabetes. The site also has educational resources.
International Diabetes Federation (IDF)
A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) having relationships with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). The IDF is the only global advocate for people with diabetes and their healthcare providers.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)
The mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP)
A federally sponsored initiative to improve treatment and outcomes, to promote early diagnosis, and ultimately to prevent the onset of diabetes.
